New-ish Web site

Carlos has updated his Web site. I've taken off the art photos because I'm currently working more with schools and families and don't want to give off the wrong impression. My site, as always, is www.morenophoto.com. I will continue to post art photos to my film blot at www.carlosfilm.blogspot.com and I will also keep my art portfolio updated at modelmayhem and onemodelplace.

Glad to hear the camera is still getting more use! We have a new camera store here in Yuma now so as you may have heard Amy and I have setup a darkroom and are getting back into film again. Kind of wishing I still had the monorail now! Dusted off my Busch Pressman though and started looking into getting the shutter fixed. Found a place in Whittier that will apparently do it for $50, and they have some great tips on large format shutters. Apparently the copal shutters (like the one on your 4x5) are known to be a little slower than marked...so you may want to look out for that.

Let us know next time you make it down to Yuma, we'll cook up some more Pizzas and show you the new darkroom!

Yeah, I think I knew that about the copal shutters. I just shot a portrait with it and there's definitely a little more motion to it than expected. But that could be the model too. I just shot some more Polaroid with lousy results. I forgot to meter for the 50 ISO and they are one stop under. Normally not a big deal, but in this photo it made a big difference since I was going low key anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing the darkroom. And, no, you can't have the Cambo back!
